aadivasi.org® is India's first ImpactCommerce® platform dedicated to driving positive change. We empower customers to make meaningful investments in various social causes, promoting inclusive growth, women empowerment, and tribal welfare. Through our unique model, you can contribute to initiatives ranging from nature conservation and providing mid-day meals for underprivileged school children to supplying feminine hygiene products for girls in remote regions and supporting the education of tribal children. As a token of our gratitude for your support, you can select from a diverse range of eco-friendly handicrafts, crafted with precision to align with the value of your contribution. It's not just a gift, it's a statement of purpose in the fight against global warming and a step towards a net-zero, carbon-neutral future. Whether it's a birthday, a special gift for your loved one, a farewell present, or a New Year's gesture, aadivasi.org® offers a unique way to make a meaningful impact.
At aadivasi.org®, we make it easy for you to support important social causes while also giving you the opportunity to choose a unique gift for special occasions like Diwali gifting, festive gifting, gifts for employees, birthdays, farewells, or New Year celebrations. Here's how it works:
-
Choose a Cause: You can begin by selecting one of the four impactful social causes listed on our website. These causes encompass environment conservation, providing mid-day meals to students, supporting rural/tribal student education, and ensuring access to sanitary pads for female students to prevent school dropouts. Your support directly and in-directly contributes to these causes- women's empowerment, tribal welfare, inclusive growth, and combating global warming.
-
Pick Your Unique Gift: In return for your support, we offer you the chance to select an eco-friendly handicraft of your choice. The value of this gift corresponds to your chosen cause, making it a special gift that represents your good karma.
-
Make a Difference: Your contribution goes directly to the specific social cause you've chosen to support, covering the relevant expenses. After selecting your handicraft and making the payment for your chosen cause, you'll receive an email recognizing your efforts to create a positive impact.
-
Gift the Cause: Here's the best part - you can also choose to gift the cause and handicraft to someone else, whether it's a birthday gift, a gift for your girlfriend/boyfriend, a farewell present, or a special gift for the New Year or gift on any special occasion. Simply provide your recipient's details, a personalized message, and the delivery address for the chosen handicraft. Your friend will receive a Birthday Gift Card "Certificate of Impact" via email, and the selected unique green gift will be couriered to their doorstep.
In essence, aadivasi.org empowers you to feel good about the social cause you've supported, allowing you to make a meaningful impact. By gifting the same cause alongside a handicraft product to your friend on her special day, you're not only making her day memorable but also contributing to the preservation of Bharat's traditional handicrafts, women empowerment, and inclusive growth.

We're deeply committed to environmental conservation and take a multifaceted approach. Our initiatives include safeguarding and creating wetlands and grasslands, which are crucial for biodiversity and nature conservation. We also plant grasses like vetiver and lemongrass, which help reduce soil erosion in damaged landscapes and store carbon in the soil, contributing to carbon offset efforts.
Additionally, we provide clean cooking stoves to rural villagers, aiding in the mitigation of carbon emissions. Moreover, we support farmers in transitioning from pesticide-based farming to organic farming, planting trees, which not only promotes biodiversity but also reduces carbon emissions. These actions play a vital role in our comprehensive approach to addressing global warming and fostering afforestation.
No, our projects are not structured for a carbon credit-sharing model. They are supported by multiple individuals who are dedicated to reducing carbon emissions, protecting biodiversity, and conserving nature for the greater good. While our initiatives contribute to mitigating global warming and carbon offset, the primary aim is environmental preservation rather than carbon credit accumulation.
We are committed to offering periodic updates on our social cause pages, typically on a quarterly or half-yearly basis, as appropriate. However, please note that individual support-based updates may not always be available due to various reasons, including our respect for the dignity and privacy of the beneficiaries and unforeseen circumstances such as beneficiary changes. Our aim is to provide comprehensive impact assessment while ensuring the well-being and integrity of the communities we serve.
While we collaborate with numerous rural artisans across different states to craft these handmade products, individually tagging each product with the artisan's name can be challenging. However, you can find general information about the artisan community and the traditional craftsmanship in the product descriptions available on our website. We are dedicated to promoting tribal art and craft, traditional products, and eco-friendly handicrafts while supporting these skilled artisans.
You may write to varsha.a@impca.in by giving the contact and details of the artisan and we will be happy to contact him/her.

We understand your inquiry, and it's essential to clarify that our mission is centered around encouraging users to support social causes while gifting them eco-friendly, handicraft products sourced from various regions across the globe, particularly those originating from rural areas.
Given the nature of our model, it's not feasible for us to manufacture every item showcased on our website. Instead, we actively support numerous artisans, self-help groups, and institutions. We do this by procuring their handicrafts, offering necessary training where required, financing their training workshops, and promoting their work on our platform. This overall effort is aimed at boosting the demand for rural handicrafts, thereby contributing significantly to the livelihoods of these artisans and communities.

The Impact Price displayed for each product represents our approach to rewarding users for their social contributions. Instead of selling products directly (which are sourced from various Self-Help Groups or Artisans), we showcase them on our website with an Impact Price instead of a selling price. This means that to acquire a specific handicraft item, users need to make a contribution to a social cause of their choice equal to the Impact Value of the selected item.
At aadivasi.org, we consider each unit equal to Rs.200/-. For example- If you contribute Rs.200/- which is 1 unit, it would be equal to any of the following causes:
- 1 Tree
- 15 Plates of mid-day meal
- 1 month of fee for a kid
- 2 pack of sanitary pads
Technically you are paying for the cause and the product is a return gift for your good karma. You will appreciate that we are working with many local self-help groups in remote areas to promote their handicraft skills and with your contribution, we take a holistic approach for the upliftment of society where artisans get fair value for their skills, kids get free education, mid-day meal, female get sanitary pads and community support nature conservation activities. It's an opportunity to shop with a purpose and support a holistic approach to uplift both local artisans and the community at large.
